National Anthem
"O Fertile Homeland" is the national anthem of the People's Republic of Fiakistan: an instrumental composition for brass and percussion, in the martial spirit inherited from the country's warlike past — to which the Office of National Memory has matched the official lyrics below, intended for ceremonial reference rather than sung performance.
Fiakistan, my fertile land,
Sacred hearth of all our cradles,
From the Two Mounds up to the star,
We raise a song forever new.
Children of the mounds, keepers of life,
Our history itself a cradle,
From United Households to all Europe,
Our flame shall never die.
Once with a sword upon our belt,
We defended every mound,
Today the battle has changed course:
For a cradle now we fight.
Liberty, O Fertility,
Posterity, our pride and joy,
Fiakistanis, arise and sing,
For every household that unites.
O Fertile Homeland, to thee we swear
To keep and grow thy house.
